There are three characters which you can play: Giuseppe, Bruno and Maria. Each one has different attributes like strength and jumping and you need to figure out which one is best for you. You can control your character with your directional keys and the space key is used for jumping. The A key is used for getting extra speed and you can use it whenever you like. You will simply have to move around the map and find the exit door which will take you to a new sub-level. You start off with 5 lives and you can lose them by falling into pits or by getting attacked by all sorts of enemies. Your only method of defense or attack is picking things from the ground with the A key. After you pick up an item, you can throw it by pressing the A key again. Your character can do a super jump, but you will have to hold the down key for 3 seconds and press the up key as soon as you start flashing. Super Mafia Land contains secret levels in which you can collect fruits, but some of them are quite hard to find.

Super Mafia Land is a well designed flash game and it will attract you especially if you like side scrolling games. Each level is unique and interesting which makes the game entertaining and keeps it from becoming boring.
